Daenerys and Viserys
"Vis, why are we here?" Dany's voice was quivering and nervous and she anxiously looked to her older brother. He flashed a proud smile and gave her a hard stare for a second, his eyes wandering down her slim frame, her thin chest. "Just remember, little sister. It's for the good of our family." Dany was quiet, they walked side by side with no words exchanged. She knew why. Vis had been trying to sell her off for months. No, he wouldn't settle for just anyone. He wouldn't just settle for anyone. He was looking for the right stallion. He was the critical judging ype; he was always judging her. She didn't stand straight enough, wasn't pretty enough, wasn't collected enough, needed to talk like a lady. Always chastising. And yet Dany wondered amid the doubt he'd put in her mind and the stories he told her that must be true! He was her big brother. He cared about her, right? Surely he was only doing what was best for them both and then soon...soon Vis would go off and fght in some war.
At this thought, Dany stood straighter and with a hint of a haughty air she held her delicate chin high. Her brother had so much to think about that, indeed, surely she was just a burden on him. She felt a pang of feeling for him, a rare thing. For al she knew with the incredible plans he had in mind, she was only dragging him behind. He'd brought her here to the forest, to the place called the Adoring Peace. An ideal place, he'd said. Ideal to find a mate for Dany. Vis, meanwhile, was on the careful lookout for any sign of company. The sooner I'm rid of her, he thought, the sooner I'll be on my way and I'll be sure to put her in a high position. Without even knowing all my plan, he'll continue to be an aide to me. A smile alighted on the tall stallion's face. They were sister and brother, their resemblance plain in their grey coats and royal purple eyes, a trademark characteristic of their family breeding. Dany, to him, wouldn't be so bad as a mte, but instead she was his sister and it was his duty to pawn her off to a well-off future. Someone with military and social gains. Someone who would help their cause later.
Vis stopped Dany by moving in front of her. "We're not alone." Dany felt a prick of uncertainty that certainly showed in her fine features. But Vis was so tall and limber, and if anything went wrong she was sure they'd be alright. But it was just the uncertainty of hat would happen, who they would meet. Dany's whole future hung in this delicate balance, and she had no say whatsoever in the matter.
"You remember what to do," said Vis in a deep voice close to her ear.
WORDS no idea! MUSE good NOTES open to anyone, the Italics are Dany's voice and the Bold are Vis's voice. And anyone can hop in, stallion or mare, but be forewarned that I'll be bringing in another horse next post.

This land was strange to him, kind of like coming to hell, but not leaving. Anzehelo shook his mane, the long tresses tossing back and forth as he did so. At least no one was trying to rip his throat out yet, right? A very slight curve in his lips was noticeable, but it only lasted for a second before he had his composed mask on again. He picked up a slow lope, this place was beginning to depress him, and he had enough of that nonsense already. Onyx flints dug into the earth as he slowed, his audits hearing what most would not. His head turned and he walked in the direction of the noise he had heard.
Maybe that whole throat ripping scenario would come true. He would hope not, but if provoked, he wouldn’t hesitate to fight. The thoughts of fighting brought back memories of his demise. His fall from being so close to the top, yet he dropped so easily. Well, not like the other stag that’d literally fallen and hadn’t gotten back up. Anzehelo had plans for being in this place, and they consisted of clawing his way back to the top, he was willing to fight for it, despite not enjoying fighting. His thoughts carried him off as his body carried him to two figures. Anze relaxed his coiled muscles, lengthening his stride as though stretching. His head was bent down, hanging slightly like it usually did. A bit of a lazy habit he’d developed when he was young, one he couldn’t seem to break.
When he was closer he picked his head and stared at them for a moment. His midnight colored eyes staring into the filly’s for a moment before looking up into the stallion’s. But he figured it was nothing important and simply brushed them off for now, acknowledging the brute with a quiet nod and a flick of his tail as he passed them, a good distance between the groups. But his harks perked, listening for any movement in case they suddenly became hostile. He didn’t worry about the filly, after all, she was just a filly, wasn’t she, and what could such a small being do? Especially one so dainty?
{M A S K} Anzehelo {N O T E} sorry for jumping in!

Daenerys
I looked down when I smelled the other horse's scent approaching steadily. He was a stallion, no doubt. But that meant one of very few things. Either Vis was now going to try to pawn me off or maybe, just maybe this horse would be pleasant and kind and walk on by us both. Though I loathed the prospect of Vis's intentions fulfilling themselves, I was ready to get away from him. He was my brother and I loved him for that and for taking care of me, but sometime I didn't like him at all. When he snapped at me or made me do what he asked. I cast a wary look at him, and I saw he'd noticed the direction the smell came from as well. His ears were perked and his eyes looking around. He turned back to me and motioned to me; I faced away from it. "Straighten up. Look proper," he snapped. I lifted my head, taking on the look of a little princess, Viserys' little princess. He smiled his cunning smile, and told me to walk. We did.
Next, the black stallion came around the path and approached us from behind. Vis didn't hide the show of pricking his ears, watching the other horse as though wary. Any stallion would be; he was at first trying to allude I was his mare. The shudder of that sudden thought, when I realized how close it could be if he were desperate, was disturbing. I close my eyes and with a shake of my head, shook the thought away. The stallion passed, and it was obvious he wasn't in the mood for any altercation. But Vis watched him pass, the gears in his mind turning. He shot me a look that said, Behave, and for my own purposes I did. This might be the last time in a long while we passed anyone that came across as 'suitable' to Vis. He'd already looked the horse over. The black stallion was strong and moved with a purpose, and he looked intelligent. Vis had undoubtedly already summed up he was as good a war candidate as any and was therefore able to put me in a position to later aid him. Now he only needed to find out where the horse's allegiance lay, and I was hoping he wasn't a neutral.
"Sir?" Vis asked, his senses alert and focused on the stallion. His deep purple eyes tracked the horse as he kept moving. "I don't have your name, though I'm curious: when was the last time you passed water?"
OOC - No, no! I'm very glad! Finally get to jumpstart my little Dany and her big bad brother.

Anzehelo didn’t think they’d stop him, but whatever, you can’t predict what every living being will do, when they have their own free will and all. He paused when words reached his heightened hearing. Too bad he couldn’t hear another horse’s thoughts, but what he could hear was the distinct sound of two hearts quickening. And none of it came from him. The stud tilted his head to the side and turned his neck to look behind him before swinging his lithe, muscular frame around to really size up the stallion and his companion. The mare, which he had by now discerned she was not a filly despite her small stature, seemed to look more regal than she did several seconds ago. But her heart beat was fast and quick, telling Anze something words would not. He then turned his calculating, ocean blue eyes to the stallion. His heart had sped up as well, but not as much as the mare’s, and he seemed calculating, perhaps even a bit excited for something.
Anzehelo. And I have not passed any waters, though it seems strange for you to ask me that. You seem fairly familiar with these lands, sir. [/b] His voice was soft, alluring, and dangerous at the same time. Not threatening and it should not have been taken as a threat. It simply had that rustic, gruffness to it, as though he had not used it in some time. Might I have the honor of knowing your names?[/b] It didn’t sit well with him to ignore the mare, so he made that plural, and it didn’t sit well with him that they should know his name, and he should not know theirs. Perhaps a bit paranoid of him, but names were a strange thing and they were good to know, even if this might be the first and last time he’d ever meet this small group. Anze flicked his tail to the side, not out of impatience though. If anything, he was patient. After all, it had taken him a few moments to answer the brute, since he had been so absorbed in observing the odd pair. He wasn’t all that alarmed that he had been asked if he’d passed water, perhaps he should be, but he wasn’t. The heartbeats were a small warning that something was not entirely as it seemed here, so he made sure to keep his distance from the pair. {N O T E} I love your OCs! Vis is so manipulative! ^.^ [/blockquote][/size]

Viserys
Oh. Good, he wasn't behind me too far. He was following close. A sharp one, indeed, I could tell from the way he surveyed Dany, sized me up in a second. My eyes met his, though I'd already allowed them to pass over him. He wasn't going to let us off without our names! That was good, as well. It irked me he asked for Dany's, but probably because he didn't trust me to tell him. She was the whole reason I was here! Well, no entirely. But what stallion wouldn't want to impress upon another by using his lady? Oh, it didn't matter. He was here! I lifted my head, standing up straighter to equal the other's height. He had the air of being wise, and as though he'd almost aged beyond his years. I wished I could see what he was thinking and I could almost tell he was thinking the exact same thing. How similar we were, all of a sudden. We even looked similar, aside from our coloring. My purple eyes, though, were looking around us, always on the alert, until they stopped on his face again. I kept one ear behind me, the other on him, and I made sure Dany stayed close.
"Viserys," I introduced myself, with a slight nod of my head to him. Once I returned to my full height, I leveled our eyes. "And my sister, Dany." I looked at her standing beside me, and bit a small smile back as she lifted her eyes to him, and dipped her head humbly with a tiny smile. But till, I thought I saw some sadness in her eyes. I looked back at the stallion called Anzehelo. I furrowed my brow. "No," I said, "as a matter of fact, we are not. Much has changed here in the last few years. Too much, I think." A sour taste filled my mouth, and I gave him a look to suggest I didn't wish to dwell on the subject. "But I believe there may have been a stream somewhere ahead, though Dany tells me she's been lightheaded, and I don't want to overexert her." I raised my brow to give him the impression that I was very serious. Which, in fact, I was. War is no laughing business and I was through being the laughingstock of others because of my father.
OOC - xD thankies, I do try!!

What an odd group, he thought. That single thought continued to ring in his mind as he continued to listen and watch the other stallion. The stallion continued to look around, seemingly on alert at all times. To Anze, that was an odd thing. But then again, he could hear the sound of heartbeats, hoof beats, and breathing from miles away. Being as alert as this other brute was not necessary for him. Another seemingly strange thought erupted in his head. The thought that they were in some ways similar. He knocked the thought form his mind the moment it broke through, he didn’t have the sense to be thinking such things. Visreys, Dany. The two names implanted themselves in his mind, and would not soon be forgotten. He never forgot a worthwhile name. And a part of him was saying that these two were worth remembering. The mare gave him a small nod, fitted perfectly with a tiny smile. Anze simply flicked his ears forward in mild interest at the gesture as acknowledgement before the lay in a neutral position on his head again.
Anzehelo listened to Visreys response, remaining silent and still. Then I believe that makes two, or three, of us. He murmured softly in response, because he too was not familiar with these lands. An amused glint shown in his eyes as he picked his head up all the way, showing the less lazy streak in him for once. A part of him liked this stag and his sister, a part of him was still unamused by them. But the amused part won over as he turned around again and flicked his tail. Anze tossed a look at them over his shoulder, his eyes going first to Visreys before resting on Dany. Shall we find that stream then, Visreys? The dangerous sort of edge in his voice was still there, but not overwhelmingly so. He did not smile at them, but his voice was softer, more alluring than it was before. It was something that made others want to hear more. Though he would continue to keep some distance between them, he wouldn’t mind being around them for a little bit, perhaps the company would be nice.
Without waiting for their response, he resumed walking. They could follow, or they could stay. It was something entirely up to them. His ears did not move in their direction, nor did they really listen in on any conversation they might be having. Anzehelo had always found unreasonable eavesdropping to be just a bit unfair.
{N O T E} gotta love the slightly twisted ones! <3

Dany
I batted my eyes, and my face flushed a little pale. I leaned my head into Vis's long, sinewy neck, taking advantage of the part he was trying to play. I expelled a short, shallow breath, realizing that it was the truth, not so much a facade, for both of us. We were, indeed, very tired. I wasn't used to such walking, as Vis had never taken me out exploring or walking much. He wasn't much of a brother to me before our lives changed and father was...well, murdered. After that, I saw him a lot more and I wasn't used to it. He had to keep me with him at all times now and, inwardly, I knew he was even more frustrated with it than I. All that anger pent up inside him; he was a horse who thirsted for vengeance. I just got dragged along into the thick of it. And it was no false pretense that I wanted out.
Vis turned to me, asked me how I was faring. I gave him an easy smile, that I was alright, but the tiredness was in my bones. Vis led the way, and my head was fuzzy, so I only heard part of their conversation. I wasn't really listening. "What news have you of the fighting?" I heard Vis pose the question, but his voice was guarded. There was a minute or two of silence he let pass between them, and my eyes drifted shut. A calm, warmed breeze tickled my cheek. Though the sun was warm on my back, I shivered my skin when the dry leaves rustled. It was calming and mesmerizing, but still...so tiring. There was a bird, a sparrow, a wing fluttering overhead, a chirp in the sky. Vis's voice. Anzehelo's voice. His was deep, liquid-smooth. Vis was breathing slowly, at ease with him. And I wanted to all asleep.
"Up there, I think." Vis raised his head, nearly making me jerk my own away from his neck. I heard the burbling of the running water and looked ahead of me. Vis had put himself between me and the other stallion, so I couldn't see the horse's face or reaction. But Vis led the way and I let him guide me to the water's edge, where he halted and slowly shifted away from me so I could drink. I allowed my throat to succumb to the cool water, and felt suddenly lie a rag doll being made to drink from her china tea cup. But the water was good, so I let myelf drink, impervious to everything but its energizing effect. Vis's eyes were not on me anymore. He was speaking with the other horse. I flicked my ears away so I would not intrude. And when I raised my head to make eye contact with them both, Vis nodded to me. I stepped away, if the others wanted to drink as well. Shyly, I met Anzehelo's eyes, and then looked away.

Anzehelo listened to the brute as they walked. He wasn’t nearly as tired as they appeared to be. Then again, he hadn’t been traveling for days on end without stop. He liked a brutal, working pace when he was moving sometimes but he wasn’t out to kill himself with it. Anze was careful. Keeping an open ear out and listening to their heartbeats constantly. His acute eyes would flicker over to rest on his company for a few moments, reading between the lines and looking for any sudden tensing of muscles that would alert him to anything out of the ordinary. It was simply something he did with everyone. Not much, I’m afraid. I prefer to keep to myself, and away from the battle. Softly spoken were the words but the look he gave Viserys was not one of a peaceful stud. It said that he would fight should he feel it was needed. Then again, Anze was never one for wasting energy where energy should not be wasted.
The sound of water made him look away at last in favor of staring ahead of them. When they stopped and the small mare stepped forward to drink, Anze couldn’t help give a wry grin to the other stallion. The look felt odd to him, for it was not one he did often. You ask many questions. This feels as though it’s a test, not a mere conversation. I wonder if I’ve passed yet. His smile wasn’t exactly pleasant, but he wasn’t angry either. His blue eyes glinted for a moment with a mixture of mischief and amusement before he turned away only to have his eyes meet Dany’s. Anze stared at her for a moment, even when she looked away. She was still odd to him, and he found her interesting simply because he’d never met such a docile mare before. Anzehelo flicked his tail before moving to the water, his harks still upon his crown but still listening.
Perhaps he was being paranoid to constantly be aware. He wasn’t looking for the noise, simply listening. To the untrained eye, he would seem normal and completely fine, as though he were simply drinking acting like a trusting being. Maybe this was his test to Vis. Not yet, he thought as he pulled back. He’d have to brew up something a bit more difficult for this stud. What about you? Where do you stand amongst the turmoil? He wondered if Vis would understand the question when he had worded it so oddly.
