RAISED her mother brought her up as a mare of good standing and though she wasn't very social like her daughter, she taught Bex what she needed to know.
ALONE when Bex's mother had raied her near adulthood Bex noticed the results of staying in one place for a long, long time; the herd they lived in was small and Bex's mother was wooed by a stallion who tried to flatter Bex as well, but she saw through him and when they were alone, Bex told her mother her suspicions of the slimy brute but her mother didn't listen, so that night Bex ran away.
