DUCHESS in a sense he was the oldest and prettiest daughter in her father's herd and her father's favorite, and he intended to wed her to another stallion in another great herd, until he found out about her young love affair with Eduard and banished her from seeing him; when they were found together again, Eduard escaped and let her with a magic locket only she could open and Sophie was taken back to her family and kept sheltered there, and she always wondered what happened to Eduard; she didn't see him for years and then she was given at five years to the stallion she was made to be with by her father, although they didn't have foals and as their relationship progressed he was away more and more often and she started o wander off on her own.
