[glow=blue,2,300]Infinant Cold [/glow]The weeks I had spent with my brother had been wonderful. I was happy that he had found me. He talked with me and we travled, hoping to find a home. I avoided speaking of my past...I just couldn't confront it. Every time he brought it up or mentioned it, I would change the subject. He knew I was afraid and went along with it. He was a kind brother. I do remember one time when I made him angry...I was frightened as he lashed out at me with his words. As soon as he saw my expression, however, he quickly apologized and comforted me. From then on, he tried his hardest to remain calm. He told me that he could do it as long as I was near. I wasn't sure how I was the one doing this, but I was glad that my presence helped him. I could see that, he too, was happy to be with me, his sister. Right now, we had entered a forest and made our way to a small meadow. I slowed my pace and gazed around. We were alone. He saw me slow down and came over to me. I smiled wearily as I looked into his kind, onyx eyes. "I am tired..." I muttered, sinking to my knees and closing my eyes. I swished my black tail once, and drifted off...[glow=red,2,300] Summer Heat [/glow] I had found her. My sister...she had been lost the day our parents died. I was overjoyed to be with her once again. We travled together, searching for a place to call home. I often tried to talk with her about her past, but every time I spoke about it, she changed the subject. I knew she was scared...so I let it be. When she had angered me one day, I raged at her. Instantly, I regretted it. She looked so hurt. With my anger turning at myself, I apologized. I hated to see her that way. I promised to keep my cool after that. Now, we stood in a pretty little meadow. I glanced back to see her slowing her pace. I went closer and she said she was tired, laying down and closing her warm, choco orbs. I smiled. With my own sigh, I dropped dwon beside her and laid my head over her. The wind howled softly, but my body blocked the breeze from giving her a chill. I sighed again, and followed her into the world of dreams...

Alexandrea and Achilles
Sometimes fate plays funny tricks on you...
They were an unlikely pair. Mostly because they were so alike. He was intelligent, brutish, arrogant, powerful, and had a good mouth and was an incredible fighter. She was less arrogant, and brutish, but she was sassy, smart, strong, and very irritating when she wanted to be. The two of them did not seem as thought they would be friends, yet they traveled together. Thick as thieves they were. Which was quite unusual, as Alexandrea herself often was proud of her ability to snuff stallions, and Achilles was...well, the only reason he didn't attack her was because he had a weakness for mares. They were different in height as well. However, they both knew what they had to do. They knew who they were, and what they had to do. They were not together, they did not love each other as a pair, they loved each other as a brother and a sister, and they bickered like siblings as well.
The stallion had a good four inches on the mare. He was a tall, burly seventeen hand stallion with feathered feet, and obvious draft influence. However, he was fast, and showed almost a warmblood build. He could move fast, and he thought fast as well. He was dark bay in color, with a blood-like quality with feathered black legs. The only trace of white on his body was a crooked stripe that ran from the middle of his forehead down to his soft, dark muzzle. He had dark, sharp eyes, and a long main and tail. A noble looking beast to be sure, and deadly.
She was of finer quality, but by no means inferior. She was powerful in the shoulders and hindquarters, but of a different quality. She was built for speed, and speed prevailed for her when it came to fighting. They had never challenged each other, and thus their skills had never been matched before. Her coloring was black, with a splashed star and a few splotches of white on her neck, shoulders and underbelly. A light horse build, with thoroughbred shoulders and paint qualities, long legs that were good and changing directions quickly.
They did not start out like this, but as they walked, each caught the others scent. Achilles trotted happily over towards his friend, and she did likewise. They touched noses briefly, an amiable hello, before they started walking together. They walked along in silence for a bit, side by side, not even uttering any word of greeting. It was she who broke the silence. "You look fabulous today my friend," Alex said casually. "Why thank you, may I return the compliment?" Achilles replied in a suspiciously polite tone. "You may." "You look spectacular." "How are you?" "I am very well, and you?" "I am also well."
This formal conversation ended abruptly, and there was a short silence in which the two looked at each other briefly, and then burst into fits of laughter. They laughed for a long time together, before once again speaking. "So, my fine fellow, found any mares worthy of seduction in the last few days?" said Alex with a grin. She would bet heftily that he had. "I have not." Achilles replied loftily. "Though I have found several at least worth my interest." Alex snorted. "Oh sure," she said with a snicker. "There'll be little Achilles running around before winter, you can count on THAT." Achilles glared at her sternly, in which she only stared at him, as if daring him to throw a fit, and he swung his head back around again, looking surly. Alex softened her tone the next time she spoke. She did not wish to upset him. "Sorry, but it's so good to see you again." she said softly. "Only because you'll have somebody to insult," he said ruefully. Alex let out an exasperated sigh. "Good Gods when are you going to control yourself? You know damn well I didn't mean a word of it!" Achilles opened his mouth to reply when they were both quite suddenly distracted.
Two horses came into view, and immediately hormones kicked in when Achilles saw the roan mare. Alex nudged him hard, and he ceased to stare. They paused a moment, and then, thinking alike, they made their way briskly towards the pair of horses. One was a mare, who was a dark agreeable blue roan, with a black mane and tail, and the other, a handsome dun. Alex, unlike Achilles did not find his features enough for her to feel attracted. They approached with an air of caution, and noticed that the two horses were similar in height, which was slightly smaller than Alex, and noticeably smaller than Achilles.
Alex, being more sociable, approached them first, looking polite and pleasant. Achilles, on the other hand looked downright alarming. He was trying not to stare at the roan mare, and it was irritating to the point of rolling his eyes and stomping with the effort not to stare. Alex ignored him. "Good morning," she said pleasantly. She wasn't sure why she was making this conversation, but she felt like it. It also gave her great pleasure to see Achilles so irritated, and suffering. She loved to make him suffer in this way...nothing gave her greater pleasure. She looked at Achilles, with a raised brow. He shot her a look of deep loathing, before speaking. "Hullo," he said moodily. Oh he was going to kill her.
muse; sort of exploding notes; lololol this will be fuuuun! Achilles talk Alexandrea talk

I was startled out of my doze by a mare's voice. I jerked slightly, and I knew Summer Heat had awoken when I did so. I opened my choco orbs and glanced up, curiosity etched accross my features. With my brother laying the way he was, I could not stand until he did. With a nicker, I twisted my head around and woke him fully. "Brother, wake up." I said softly. He snorted as he opened his eyes and saw the other mare. I felt him tense and wondered why. Looking back up, I noticed that a large stallion stood off to the side. Oh, great...just what we needed...Summer Heat was overly protective of me. I doubt he would let me even get 4 feet away from him, now that there was another stag in the area. I felt him rise to his feet, and I did the same. I knew he would speak first...he was older than me and my brother, so I had to keep quiet for now. I waited, trying to stifle a yawn as my eyes drooped. I was still tired...
My dreams abruptly stopped when I felt Infinant Cold jerk awake. I started to wake up as well, my visions fading. The fog that clouded my mind and made me sleep was hard to make go away. I heard the voice of a mare. My sister's voice brought me fully awake and I opened my eyes to see a paint-like mare standing before us. My eyes scanned the area and I saw that there was a stallion not far from her. I tensed. I didn't want my sister to get hurt...it would be best if I kept her close with these other horses here. I stood, my black tail swishing audiably. Infinant Cold got up as well and remained silent. At least she knew that I was supposed to speak first..."Good Morning." I replied to the mare, nodding my head. "We did not know there were others about." he wasn't sure what else to say. He glanced at his sister. She looked very tired. The journey had taken them all night...hopefully she would be ok.
Muse: eh....could be better Other: lol, so true. This will be very fun!

Alexandrea and Achilles
[/i][/color][/size] Sometimes fate plays funny tricks on you...There was definitely some air of tension. Achilles stared moodily at the stallion, while gazing somewhat distantly at the mare. Alex was feeling quite relaxed and was looking at both of them happily, while the stallion was trying to start a civilized conversation. Achilles looked over and glared at his companion with a look of pure murder. He hated socializing more than anything else in the world. Well, Alex was okay, but she was such a guy, that she didn't really count as socializing. She was like his brains and he was his brawn. Achilles was split into two people. Not that the tall, burly stallion wasn't intelligent, but his temper often got in the way of his less than brutish feelings. However, the young mare was not to be daunted, so Achilles just satisfied himself with looking grumpy.
Alex was trying to be pleasant at the same time. The two horses seemed on edge, and they were definitely siblings. The mare was standing somewhat behind her brother, who was starting the conversation. He seemed on edge, and to be honest, Alex could not blame him. She was nothing to worry about in his eyes, but Achilles was down right scary. He was not being evil, he was simply throwing a silent temper tantrum. Some men never did grow up. However, when a giant seventeen hand stallion is staring down at you like the grim reaper, you should have reason to be nervous. He was glaring at the stallion, but then his gaze changed. He then looked over at the mare.
"There are always others about," Achilles snapped. "If you're to stupid to have not realized that by now then it's a wonder you haven't died yet." Alex looked over at the stallion with a far more venomous look, and in an instant, her left hind leg shot out like a whip and smacked his hind leg. The stallion's teeth snapped together, and his ears went back. Alex shook her head. "Do forgive him, he doesn't mean it," Alex said with a sigh. Achilles snorted. He was going to mean it, damn that mare if she was going to make him socialize.
"And no, Achilles, there have not been many horses out as of late, as the Gods are in debate," she said. Achilles blinked, and stared at her. "Haven't you noticed the damn weather?" she asked, more to Achilles than the newcomers. Achilles pinned his ears. "Where are you two from? Don't worry, we won't-" "What's your name?" Achilles cut across her, staring at the mare. His voice was soft, and his tail swished. He was being such a boy, and Alex wanted to kill him. He was usually extremely kind to mares, none of this ridiculous business about trying to steal one, because that certainly was what he looked like he wanted to do. "We'll not harm you," Alex said loudly. She glared at Achilles, her eyes narrowed. "My name is Alexandrea, and this is Achilles. I am very sorry if we have disturbed you, but we will leave you in peace."
Ah, the art of wishful thinking, put into words.
muse; fab notes; oh dear......Achilles is in a BAD mood. I sorta forgot about this, but here's a post.

The mare in front of them was much more polite than the grumpy stallion standing a ways behind. Summer Heat inwardly chuckled. He was throwing a temper tantrum. How amusing. The mare spoke her name; Alexandrea. It was a pretty name. The stallion, Achilles, seemed rude and impolite. He cut accross their conversation and asked his sister's name. He snorted and glared at the stallion, stomping a hoof. Infinant Cold lifted her head, deep brown eyes gazing at him almost curiously. There was no fear, and slight amusement at his grumpy atttitude. She looked at her brother and he sighed and nodded once. She could tell him. He looked at the mare and smiled. "Nice to meet you, Alex. I am Summer Heat." he smiled.
She listened half-interested as her brother and the two other horses talked among themselves. The stallion that had approached with the other mare sounded annoyed, and she smiled softly. To her, she could only imagine why. The mare he was with sounded demanding and was obviously the leader of the two. She was giving the orders. She was startled when she heard the stallion snap his teeth and speak up. He'd asked her name? She looked up in puzzlement and at her brother. He nodded and she took a step forward, leaning around him and speaking quietly. "My name is Infinant Cold." she told him with a small smile.
muse: wonderful! other: nope...hehe, this is fun~

Alexandrea and Achilles
Sometimes fate plays funny tricks on you...Achilles was getting angrier and angrier by the minute, but Alex really could care less. She could beat up the stupid brute if she needed too. She looked at the other two horses, who still seemed wary of them, but they were willing to offer up their names....to Alex. She was a cautious and intelligent mare who knew her friend well, but she should have watched him more closely, because she did not predict what he was about to do. She was too busy smiling at the names of the two horses; Summer Heat and Infinite Cold. That was great, they were probably siblings. She and Achilles shared the same first letter...but they could not be more distantly related.
Achilles had reached the breaking point. Both horses were ignoring him except when the mare, the stupid mare peeked around to stare at him and said her name. It was what the stallion did that really set him off. He stomped at him. Actually pawed the ground and gave him a challenging look. The blood boiled in Achilles' veins, and his eyes rolled. "Bad move," he snarled. As Alex was about to say something, the stallion lunged forward. There was a good ten feet in between the horses, but it wouldn't take him long to reach them. He was going for the stallion, he would rip him apart, put him in his place...among the dead, for treating him like that! He was in a fury, an uncontrollable rage as he surged towards the opposing horses.
However, Alex was not who she was for nothing. She was not the only one who could travel with Achilles because she was a girl. As he moved, she moved faster. She lunged forward twice as fast as the magnificent stallion and latched her teeth around the back of his neck as he began to charge. His momentum was cut off before he had fully gotten any and he staggered as she skidded, pulling ferociously against his weight with strength that could not be her own to stop a 2000 pound animal. The mare ran backwards, dragging the shocked stallion back about five steps, and Achilles stopped. Alex released him.
"DO YOU WANT ME TO RIP YOUR HEAD OFF ACHILLES?" she snarled, five times more intimidating than he was. She seemed almost bigger than him. He was not exactly scared, he knew she liked him, but she was dead serious when she spoke to him now. He glared at her, glanced at the offending stallion and backed up a few steps. "Very good." she said, praising him. "Now, what do you say?" Her voice was probably making him want to attack her, but she knew he wouldn't, not when adrenaline was pumping through her veins at ninety miles per hour. Achilles paused a moment, looking thoroughly offended.
"Sorry..." he muttered. "Very good," Alex said with a grin. She turned to their acquaintances. "Sorry about him, he should be harmless now. He has manners issue, but you mustn't blame him, he was raised that way. Anyways. Summer Heat, Infinite Cold. It is very nice to meet you."
She was about to say something else when something happened to her. Something strange to anybody watching, but very familiar to her. Suddenly, her eyes turned black. No, she wasn't staring out of black orbs, they were normal eyes, but her formerly brown eyes were now black. It was noticeable if you were having a conversation with her, which unfortunately was what she was doing right then and there. Achilles watched his companion solemnly, and knew what was happening. He had never actually seen her do it before, but it was happening now, and it was terrifying. Her whole appearance became darker, and she turned and looked at him a moment, then back at their acquaintances. She was no longer smiling.
"We're heading west," she said quietly. Even her voice was slightly different. "If you would like to join us, then feel free, but be warned: Your survival cannot be guaranteed." She closed her eyes a moment and sighed. It was happening. Why now? Right when she'd found a decent life, she knew it had to happen. She had to go. Of course, she was still herself, and had kept her own mind, but there were a few words that were not her own: west was one of them. And how dangerous it would be. Well, she had always known that it would be dangerous, but she would hate to drag others into it.
With that, she nodded, turned, and walked away, Achilles following. His aggression towards the stallion was gone, as there were more important things at risk; Alex had changed, and that could mean only one thing: War.
muse; O.o notes; sorry it took so long.....and here it begins

When the demeanor of the stallion, Achilles, became darker, Infinant Cold took a step back, eyes wary. Her brother had done something to make the bigger stag angry. Just as she thought this, Achilles lunged forward, looking like he was about to snap her brother's neck in half. She tensed, about to put herself between him and Summer Heat, but Alex beat her to it. She grabbed the stallion by the nape of the neck with her teeth and literally dragged the infuriated male back. Infinant Cold grimaced slightly. Ouch. That had to hurt. Alex scolded him harshly and made him utter an apology. She giggled. Alexandrea was clearly the one in charge here. But she felt bad for making the big brute angry because of her brother. Without heeding Summer Heat's 'stay put' glare, she stepped around him and a little closer to the in-charge mare and Achilles. "I'm sorry if my brother angered you," at this her brother snorted and she rolled her eyes. "He tends to go overboard with the I'm-your-older-brother-and-I-will-protect-you charade." she smiled gently, swishing her tail.
Summer Heat frowned. His sister had never been so bold and open before. He wondered why, now, of all times, she would step up and not hide behind him as she usualy did. Not that he minded or anything...as she apologized to the stallion, he snorted. She probably was rolling her eyes right then, he wouldn't doubt that. When she said he was overprotctive, her scowled and strod forward, lowering his head to level with hers. "I'm protective because I have to be." he said, clearly indigant. She shook her mane and shifted, leaning away to give him a 'are you serious' look. He sighed. "Alright, alright, sometimes I do go overboard..." he muttered, but did not step back, but stayed where he was right beside her. Then, she looked up at Alex's words. "We'd love to come with you." she smiled, just as he said that it probably wouldn't be a good idea. She snorted and nudged him with her shoulder. "C'mon, brother. It'll be fun!" she grinned. He sighed. Well, at least she was coming out of her shyness..."Alright, fine." he agreed.
