Sample Post: I was a grouch. So what. Nobody cared, not even my own mother, when i was leaving my home she simply snorted, flicked her tail and watched me leave. She didn't even care. I had thought that I had seen her eyes well, but it was the rain that was pouring down upon the trailer. She didn't care about me, nobody did. Not even my own brother, he had snickered, that smug smile spreading across his maw as he simply watched me leave. His tail had flicked once, and a glimmer of resentment spread across me maw. My head hit the trailer roof but i didn't care, that side of my face had long since gone numb. No matter how hard i got hit i didn't feel anything. I wasn't always like this but them damn human voices kept humming in my ears. 'What are you going to do with her', 'dump her off on the side of the road'. I screamed, hoping they might stop, then when they tried to beat me with whatever they found in the truck, i would jump out, give them a piece of my mind, and then ditch them. Leave them behind. But the humans didn't show. The black cowboy hat with the elegant eagle feather perched upon his hat, never showed, instead there was silence and then. We told you this would happen. I told you, I told you, It was coming from somewhere i banged my head on the trailer sides, trying to get the voices out, but they stayed, taunting me . Edging me on, they had always been there. But i had expected them to go away, I was almost 2. Plus i was leaving this place. This brutal, evil place. Mother had said that she had, had them when she was younger, but they went away when she turned two, but obviously i was different than her. She hadn't grown up here. Plus, she was a brood. Nothing important, I had heard the humans talking though. She was going somewhere too. They had been disgraced by me, that was their first impression of my mother, so they were getting rid of her too. I laughed into the wind, as the trailer picked up speed. I banged my hawks against the trailer, making it sway slightly, a truck swooped by me, and i pushed extra hard. But the trailer didn't move. I snorted, frustrated, don't do anything, again with the voices, i snorted, and didn't move. I had learned long before this, to listen to them and things would happen. For the better of you, but for the worse of others. I heard the screech of tires and a smug smile spread across my maw, so the voices had the best for me once again. I waited, a loud thud was heard, and i heard the door creak open. I didn't know why they didn't oil it. It took three of the men too open it. I saw the little brat that had tried so hard to befriend me. Giving me apples, did she not know i was allergic to them? I barred my teeth. My buttons had been jammed into 'I hate this world' mode. Even though this little girl with blond pigtails had actually been my only friend. I was snapping on her too. I looked in her eyes for a moment and then she offered me a carrot. They were tempting me to jump out of the trailer, i loved carrots. I pulled on my halter, knowing that they would just want me to break the shank like they always did. Always just a flabby piece of binder twine they used and then i would break it. I lunged out of the trailer and everyone screamed. Except for the little girl. She looked at me cautiously. I looked nervously at her, and i leaned my head down to her, I grabbed the carrot and the 5 year old grabbed on to my mane. I didn't want her to come. But i threw her onto my neck, and bolted into the forest. Not knowing if she was still on my back or not. But she was, i couldn't feel her weight, but her presence was strong. Good job, I glared at the road in front of me and spoke Shut up. the voices silenced, but i knew they would be back. Soon.
