Deja Vu
Have you seen your mind lately? I know who stole it.A blue-green aquamarine gem shimmered in the swirling fog, a slim body moving silently on ghostly silver hooves. The figure stepped boldly yet carefully, making not a single sound in the still, quiet night. A rustle of leaves alerted her to the presence of a slight wind, and the horse turned her broad neck to face a second being following close behind. She snickered a little for no apparent reason, her slightly upturned muzzle showing off a glint of shiny white teeth behind. She preferred not to be seen or heard, as she was skeptical of stallions which would so swiftly be lured to the presence of her and her younger twin sister who looked nothing like her except for the shimmery, attractive sheen of their coats native to their breed, and their inherited locks, long and wavy, which were their mother's. Ironically, they never knew their mother, or for that matter, their father. In fact, she couldn't even remember her life as a young filly. She woke up one morning and realized she was a mare, an insanely beautiful mare, as was her sister even though she'd never admit it, and she felt an overwhelming pull to protect her sister from the bad things, and she wasn't afraid to scream in anyone's face. Her sister was the only one she loved, the only one she felt close to. Perhaps this was a reason they had established a sort of empathy link, so no matter how far away, they could hear and feel each other's thoughts and emotions, much like they could do to others. As the two mares neared a swiftly moving brook, its babbling like a confusing chatter filling one's mind, they stopped. The fog thickened, so much so that they could hardly see one another even though both were only a few feet apart. The blue-green mare nickered to the second mare, her eyes narrowed and alayzing the surrounding thick trees. She let out a quiet grunt, her front hoof reaching out and stamping hard on the soft earth in front of her, the first noise she made to alert other beings nearby of her presence. She stared into the black mist as the smoke cleared a little, and her glowing, glaring eyes caught a presence staring back, or was it her imagination? Inception
Life is but a dream Sleep a regeneration of the senses Judgement is but a long awaited chapter And death is only the beginningA smoky grey accompanied the seaglassy colored horse leading her way through the dark, dank forest in the middle of the cool night. Frost hung on the trees' sprawling limbs and dew perched lightly on the green, crunchy grass beneath her dainty hooves. The mare was her sister, her older sister, and much bolder of a character than herself. She wished she was more like Deja, but she was not. She knew that her sister was her mentor, her protector in the open, growing mind of hers which Deja had so very well shielded for a number of years. Only recently was she beginning to experience, to feel the true pleasures and pains of life, the dogged life led by her sister consisting of constant, tiring moving from place to place to attempt to outrun some dark, unseen force which she herself could not feel or see or know, and she was not sure Deja could either. Her name was Inception. To begin, a beginning. But a beginning of what? Change? A revolution? A war? These words scattered her dark corners of her foggy mind, much like the mist which clouded her vision now in the forest, as these words clouded her thoughts relentlessly. She had often experienced dreams, oddly vivid dreams, and it began to seem now that she was asleep during the day and only fully awake at night, as these occasionally recurring, occasionally frightening dreams happened almost every night. She felt a need to listen, to be guided by these dreams, but her vision was so clouded, both her mind's eye and her body's eye, that all she knew was to listen and follow her sister, to do what she did and say what she said, as she knew no other way. Her life was a whirlwind, a great, swirling vortex of confusion and pondering and wondering if it would ever change. Deja was the one who stood by her and kept her grounded and alive, or so she thought. Of course, she had to cling to her sister, since she knew no mother, no father, no family, no herd, no nothing...just that she was stranded in a deep forest, the trees blocking her exit, her freedom, the mist keeping her rooted to the spot, the tense, heavy air frightening her to think that a horrifying thing would leap out and crush her at any moment. And yet, a beacon, a blue green dappled face turning to her, bright, wise eyes calling her to her side once more. Words:850 Muse:Incredible, but I'm sure it'll plummet once I reply again here. Other: Did I really just type that?

Fire Shadow I was walking until i heard the steps of two horses then i heard a femme talk. Here was my chance i thought. I saw two Beautiful mares materlized out of the fog. They were amazing. I started to approach them. One mare looked a little older than the mare. But they look alot alike. Twins would be nice to have in my land in the mountains. I hope to have a nice and big herd. My brother wont ruin me this time. " Ello mares isnt it lovely night. Amazing i would say." I turned the charm onto a altime high.

Deja Vu Have you seen your mind lately? I know who stole it.The sea colored mare stared long and hard into the darkness engulfing them, the gnarly trees whose sprawling brances were like clawing hands ready to attack them, poised and about to spring. Her dark stare was cold and stony, ears picking up the faintest noises. She knew there was a stallion nearby. Every fiber of her being knew it, from her erect ears to her radarlike eyes, from her swishing tail to her stock still legs, ready to pounce at him at the second he should appear. She stood, watching. She felt her sister's eyes on her behind her, and she stamped the ground with one blue green outstretched leg, her silvery hoof contacting the hard ground with a loud thud. She dipped her head quickly and let out an explosive snort. Soon enough, loud hoofbeats began ringing painfully in her ears, a varied noise to the stillness and silence she had grown accustomed to in these woods. He appeared there in front of her, seemingly too confident, and Deja decided he could use a wake up call. As soon as the horse came into view, she allowed a loud, powerful neigh to erupt from her swelling chest, splitting the night quiet and rocking the still air. In a blind fury, she hurtled towards him, every inch of her body pushing her forward unrelentingly, her stocky legs beating the ground to a pulp and her chest swelling violently with each hot, fast breath. Her mass eclipsed the gap between him and her in a split second, and she skidded to a sliding halt in front of the stallion, throwing her weight on her strong back legs and rearing as tall as her hocks would let her go, front hooves flailing and beating the sky, merely a blur passing inches away from the stranger's face. She shook her head back and forth, her locks whipping her neck, nearly breaking the skin with the violent force behind them. A piercing battle call rang out in the air from her throat. How dare he? How dare he simply waltz up so close to her and her sister who obviously did not know him and did not welcome him? How dare he be so careless? He thought he could rush right in and expect her to be accepting and kind and loving, ready with open arms to take him as her lover? Well, that was not going to happen, no way. Her hot breath was puffing against his face as she stood, enraged, several inches from him. "Who are you, stallion, who dares so casually to waltz in and feel free to have your way with us?" Her words were probably too harsh and accusing, but she didn't care at the moment. She'd do anything to protect her sister and herself from an unknown stranger whom she couldn't trust with anything. OOC: Told you they'd be trouble. Can you try to post a little more, if you can? They're pretty special and won't be won easily.

Fire shadow " My Name is Fire Shadow. I hope i did not startle you. I ensure you im not a threat I will not hurt such beautiful mares. Im sorry if you were looking for a stag more handsome than i am . But anyeay whats your names." I thought how beautiful the mares were. I really like the one behind the sea- coloured mare. " do you like to talk." I appointed that sentence to the smokey gray mare. I looked up at the moon it was shining off my beautiful coat. " Are you sure it is safe out here by yourself. Because i know a very safe place in the mountains. I asure you it is very beautiful view from there. You dont have to stay. you can stay as long as you want." I hoped they would come and we could talk some more until they fell in love with the view and me. Hopefully i can talk then into it. " come on it is a very nice scene. I love to be there. Nevermind the mountains can i just escort you out of the fog. Maybe farther into the abode. Where all the other stags are. You see my brother was always better than me. He had more mares than me he always rubbed it in my face." I started going into my own little world. I never noticed how angry the sea- coloured mare was. OOC: i had a better one but it didnt post so i hope this one is better

OOC-Hope I am not intruding, A little competition won’t hurt anyone.
Striking Gold Golden pelt stretched taught over strictly trained muscles, well kept as him. Ivory tassels hung silky against his smooth neck. Thick Quarter Horse rump edged smoothly around a thickly stumped fig. Harks positioned perfectly kept wide ranged to fit his cramped surrounding, yet listening far from his chosen spot for ambushing his victim. He gave a small shudder, annoyed that he would probably be moving to find his mare. Thick, strong muscled legs moved smoothly and without sound, the wet, mushy ground not fitting his preferred footing. He gave a silent growl. Annoyed at the footing. Wandering further into the darkness, his icy blue orbs watched the gnarly trees and swaying bushes that hid his lower half. Inside his head, He gained control of what awaited him.
Branches scratched against his well rounded rump. Harks flattened back onto his silky mane as the branches hit him. A large cut running from his jaw till his cheek dribbled with blood, He gave a moan, to look his best, Mother Nature would not allow it. He had to go around looking like a ragdoll that someone picked up from the trash.Grr.
A flash of light entered his determined mind, Blue-Green Fae with a smaller mare, a misty grey mare, yet not old. Deja Vu and her sister Inception. He felt an unbroken connection between the two. Something so powerful that if they were to choose they would choose each other, never a brute like himself or even the caring cow that was with them now.
A burst of sound shook him back to reality, Deja Vu; her cry was full of care, not for the stallion but for her younger sister. She was a protector, not one to be protected. He gave a little snicker as an image of the angry mare and the talking cow. Did he not know that the mare was not going to take any of his sh*t? He gave a chuckle and moved closer to the little gathering. A few feet from them yet still covered by the trees, He gave a cheeky grin, ready to take the fiery mare on. He walked closely, around the back of inception and continued around, coming level with Deja Vu.”Oh My Dear Deja Vu, will you go with him, a senseless cow yet to be destroyed? For he does not know you, yet your name and for Inception’s future will you take the right path or lead her to destruction? Are you a smart mare or one with No sense like the cow in front of you?”He smirked cheekily, asking Deja Vu to silently answer his question.
He stepped from the shadows, revealing himself. A smirk upon his face, Golden pelt shimmering in the bright moonlight. Milky white tassels ghostly against his golden coat. He gave the stallion a quick glance, dipping his crown in a flash of respect for one to try and get such difficult fae’s. He meet Deja Vu’s interesting orbs, his Icy blue ones searching hers. Words-523 Muse-Great,I hope it gets better.[/i][/center]

Deja Vu
Have you seen your mind lately? I know who stole it...Silver blue dappled ears pricked, breath hot and face flushed in annoyance as she turned her head, catching another glinting, moving mass in the thick trees. Though it may be a pitch black night, her beaming eyes caught all movement in the forest as if it were plain as day. This second body was a golden yellow, and smelt the same, strong odor of testosterone. Another one. Deja glared at the first stallion, then turned on her heels in a blind rage to meet with the second brute. She passed Inception, her sister, and caught her gaze. Inception's ears were pinned and her breath eneven as she, too, caught sight of the second horse. The grey mare snapped her white teeth at the two stallions closing in, yet remained without words. A blur of silver hooves rushed at the golden palomino who just now appeared from the trees and spoke a few words, harsh words, Deja could sense were directed at the other stallion. Her ears flicked, and her momentum slowed, allowing her body to coast over the ground and then stop for a brief moment as she caught his words. He seemed to get the fact that she was irritated and she'd not hesitate to break his legs if he laid a hoof on her or her sister without her permission. It wasn't that she hated the other stallion, she just was irked. He took the wrong approach with her, for sure, but he likely didn't quite know how she'd feel. This palomino, however, a Quarter Horse, he looked like, was very forthright and bold. He spoke against the first horse and questioned Deja about her feelings for him. It was interesting, also, how he knew her name. Of course, due to her strange abilities, she knew his name too. "Well, Striking Gold, if you are such a bold and brave stallion to loudly question me, what's to assure me that you are no better than a senseless cow yourself?" The words, though strong and harsh, brought a rining to her ears and a smirk to her face. She looked over at the first stallion, whom she could determine called himself Fire Shadow, and then back at Gold. She could read him, from his body language and from stepping in the stallion's very mind, a power she much enjoyed. He was a bit of a defiant soul, somewhat pessimistic if things didn't go his way, oh, and of course, he was sensitive and could read hw she was thinking. Probably a good thing, especially around her. Her sister knew, since they had traveled together for years now, knew how temperamental she could be. If a stallion couldn't pick up on that, he couldn't pic up on anything. Words: 475 Muse: Coming back after its trajic sudden death...48 hours ago Other: I'll bring Inception in on the next post.

Fire Shadow
I looked at the new stag in outraged fury this is going to ruin my plans. " If anything a brute like you is a worthless cow. I will not be taken advantage not today it stops now. If you want to fight bring it on. I can prove to you i can protect the mares. From someone who doesnt care for anything. Im suprised your not Damned to the cursed lands." Who did this brute think he was. I flased my teeth at him. I saw him walk around the smoky gray mare. I lunged at him. " Dont. you. dare. touch. this. mare." I said in a half growl. I was a pushover but when it came to these mares if anyone hurt them i would kill the bloody animal and make him wish his mother never had him. " If you hurt this mares i will make you pay in the worst possible way. I wont take mercy on your soul. The gods will reject your soul and send you the depths of hell. I swear on the gods i will make that happen." I was not acting like the coward i was. Someone inside me snapped when this stag showed up i never had this kind of fury in my life. If mom were here she would be proud. I hated this stag the moment i saw him. I turned toward the mares " You still told me your names." I said in a whisper i gave a smile that would have shone through the fog . " Now will you come with me to my home in the mountains." I looked at the stag as he snickered " You have to say." I screamed in his face. the next thing i knew i was givng my battle cry .

Striking Gold
Golden stud searched her misty mind.He gave her a small smile ,answering what she thought"Yes,I am a Quarter Horse"He told her proudly. He glanced past her, eying Inception, she was a nicely built mare, misty Grey in color. His orbs returned to her sister as she spoke,He glanced at the stallion and decided to confront her, telling her he was not a bluffer.Head held high,he took a step till he was right in front of her, speaking softly but boldly,he knew the mare would not hesitate to hurt him.He started of with herself, telling her what he saw"I know you, your the protective sister that wants to do everything to protect your younger sibling,You care about her more then yourself"He gave a smirk and continued"Your full of a fire, trying to protect everyone close to you,You would choose Inception over anyone else and would risk your life to save her"His words floated around, letting Deja Vu hear them.He remained silent for a few minutes before choosing something to say"Am I right?"He gave a smirk and let his eyes wander. They drifted over her ,admiring her stout build and unique color,He stepped back and looked her in the eye,She would not win, yet he would not force her to go with him,It would be her choice.
He lunged forward as he spoke, grabbing the stallion's flesh,he gave him a shake"Not care about anything"He snarled"You do not know anything, you stand in front of Deja and ramble on about your life while she is on her own, caring for her younger sister"He told the outraged colt."Your a piece of sh*t,unworthy of the great mares in front of you,If you want a fight, let's go then",He gave the silly stallion a nip on the shoulder and rose to his full height, back legs taking his weight, his golden stomach showing.
He came down on all fours, dust rising till his knees."Now tell me this stag,Will you be able to care for this spirited mares,or will you allow them to live horded for the rest of their lifes".He growled, muscles rippled under taught skin,Neck arched and rump shifting,The stallion was filled with a annoyance,How dare this stallion reckon he was the senseless cow.
Words-441 Muse-Alright I guess,One of those off days for me. Others-None

Inception She looked back and forth between the two increasingly violent stallion, eyes flickering uncertainly, and gray smoky ears pinned against her skull, flattened and disappearing in her thick mane. Her splayed, irritated position mirorred her sister's, but more out of uncertainty and from being uncomfortable caught between two clashing brutes. Fighting over her and her sister. She knew this would get ugly, and fast. She had to do something, but what? What could the pretty grey mare do to stop the fighting of two outraged, forceful stallions whose large hooves shook the ground beneath her as the golden one charged at Fire Shadow, the first. He grasped Shadow's coat with his teeth, and growled curses and insults and sputtered questions at him, one after another. She widened her eyes in surprise at the golden stallion's boldness, then they narrowed with anger. She had stood behind her sister all these years, quiet and listening, and she loved her sister dearly, but it was time to become independent, to escape her sister's overprotectiveness and make a decision for herself. Time slowed for her, and she braced her stocky, muscular legs, her chest swelling as she gathered her power into her haunches and rose, slowly, slowly, into the black air, seconds passing, it seemed, as minutes. A bellow launched from her muzzle, from deep in her throat. It seemed her mane blew at her face, whipping her grey neck from the explosive blow. Her neigh carried, long and loud across the forest. She tossed her head and pitched her black locks skyward, allowing her front to slowly drop down. The act had only occurred in a moment, but it had seemed like minutes had passed. Why? How had she summoned the power. She glanced at her sister whose eyes were wide and gazing at her, expression blank for the first time in a while. Inception stepped forward, bodly striding towards the two stallions whose attention was meant to be caught by the powerful call. "Both of you, cut it out. No need to quarrel over me and Deja. I will go with one stallion, Deja with another." She let her words hang in midair, unsure of the reaction from the stallions, and even more, from Deja. OOC: Was too lazy to count words...I'll post with Deja in next post...too lazy...mind sooo scrambled...oh, and my muse is working but my brain is not, can you tell?

.::Fire Shadow::. I raised my head high. My Orbs were full of anger and hatred. " How dare you talk to me like that." Thats when i heard Inception srceam a noble cry. I turned my head to see her. My orbs were full of suprise to see the quiet mare scream like that. " I like the idea. Then this stud wont get hurt." I swayed my head toward him. " But the question is which mare goes with who. I want Inception but it is up to them. By the way i've seen the way you look at gold deja. Yes i have heard your names and learned them. But still it is your choice and i would be happy with anyone. And you gold I can take care of these mares they are special to me and if you care about something you guard it very much." My orbs were filled with fury. " I think we just leave the fight alone. We have a good idea to spilt them up but if deja vu wants that to happen. But whoever goes with who you can count on your little sister to be safely guarded. With whoever she goes with. You dont have to worry." I was so happy about that idea then no stag gets left out. Thats if deja agrees. Hopefully she doess then she will be happy and not have to worry about her sister. for her to know that her sister is in safe hands is the best thing in the world to know. turned my head to gold. " Truce no more insults and you take yours back."

Striking Gold
The stallion before him babbled words yet all he heard was Inceptions' powerful scream. He gave a shudder at the violent cry and turned, with wide eyes to Inception and Deja.He gave the Grey mare a nod, full of respect.Ivory mane hung ragged against his taught neck.Words flowed through her maw, smooth as honey. He gave the stallion a growl as he spoke"Your lucky your not dead already"He snarled and snorted. He eyed him as he said that he would like Inception,What a good choice for him to take the quietest one and though still fiery a lot calmer than Deja.He gave a chuckle, happy to take the sea colored mare."It's Striking Gold to you,Stag,"He growled ,how dare this unworthy stag call him Gold,In His dreams.
He gave a snicker as the stallion, supposedly called Fire Shadow,Said that either mare would be in good care.Ignoring what the Stallion had said,he gave a roll of his eyes and a snort,Stepping towards Deja ,He gave her a small smile and said"Oh My,I'm happy to take Deja,We'll have a great time, won't we,Dear"He gave a chuckle.Watching the Unique sea-colored mare. Deja Vu Her glassy eyes lit in surprise as the quiet, still woods erupted in a raging fury, the tall, ominous trees seemingly blown back from the piercing call. It shattered the monotonous silence and left the three others in suspense and left Deja as a nervous wreck once she saw her sister, her quiet, complying, polite sister, step forward and argue against the stallions for their mindless bickering over her and her sister. The color drained from her face. She protested, squealing loudly, eyes narrowed at Shadow and Gold. "No, no, no! Never! I will not leave you, sister. Don't even speak like that!" Inception She turned her eyes to Deja, emotion spilling over across her sad face. "Deja, you're my mentor, my idol, and I am grateful indeed for your unrelenting protection and care you have offered me through the years. But this is only what is best for us. I knew, Deja, I knew this was coming. We wouldn't be together forever, but it is for the best. We can have separate lives...and I know we'll see each other again." A tear dropped from her liquid eyes, running down her grey cheek and dropping into the dewey grass, inaudible. Both sisters were sobbing silently, their muzzles almost touching as they stood together, eyes shut tight to block out the rest of the world for a brief moment. "There's more, Deja, more of us. I know it. I feel it sometimes, others talking in my head. Not to me or about me, but I get that feeling...like I'm not alone, like we're not alone. we need to find these others, and so we need to split up. We'll search, and remember, we still have the link. We'll always be together, not in flesh and bone but in mind and soul." Inception turned her head to Fire Shadow, giving him a quick glance and nodding slightly, respectfully. She reached out to embrace her sister one last time, then slowly backed away to join Fire Shadow, her head low and eyes sorrowful. Se knew it was for the best. Neither of them would get anywhere together, but it was still painful to split apart. She looked on as Deja turned and walked over to Gold's side, reluctantly but accepting hernew life with grace and courage.

Fire shadow
“ I like Inceptions idea. Deja I lost track of my brother a couple of months ago. I lost my mom as well. I still see him from time to time. Before you say anything Striking Gold I said truce, now if you don't accept it I don't care. But if Deja goes through with this Idea we have to be friends so that they can stay in touch. Then if I take my mare to see the other we wont be fighting anymore. That way it isn't a pain for them to see each other.” I got thinking about what I said. I do sound like a baby. I need an attitude change but first. “ do you guys think I'm a baby.” If they did. I was going to give my hopes up and leave. By then Striking Gold will have both mares and I will have to start again with another mare. I don't want to be a baby forever. But I think I need to ease into being more of a man. I can not wait to start my new attitude with a new mare and my new home in the mountains. It seems my life is just starting.
